Your information
Privacy Policy
Effective August 26, 2026
1. Scope
This policy explains how Kordela ("Kordela," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when you visit our website, create or use a Kordela account, contact support, or interact with a business that uses Kordela. A Kordela customer controls the customer, employee, lead, appointment, job, communication, and payment records it enters. For that business data, the Kordela customer is responsible for its collection and instructions, and Kordela acts as its service provider.
2. Information we collect
- Account and company information: name, business name, email, role, plan, team membership, and setup choices.
- Business records: leads, customer contacts, appointments, job details, notes, estimates, invoices, costs, employee assignments, time records, inventory, photos, and communications.
- Billing information: subscription, payment status, and transaction identifiers. Payment-card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored in Kordela business records.
- Connected-service information: identifiers, authorization tokens, and data needed for integrations you choose, such as accounting, advertising, email, or social platforms.
- Usage and device information: browser, device, IP address, timestamps, feature activity, logs, and diagnostic information.
- Support information: contact information, ticket messages, attachments, and our responses.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide and personalize Kordela; authenticate users; schedule work; maintain customer and job records; send communications users request; process subscriptions; operate integrations; prevent fraud and abuse; troubleshoot and support customers; meet legal obligations; and improve reliability and usability. We do not use a business's customer records to advertise unrelated products to those customers.
4. How we disclose information
We disclose information to the Kordela customer that controls the account; authorized team members; vendors that provide hosting, authentication, payments, communications, monitoring, or integrations; connected services at the customer's direction; and authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or complete a business transaction. Vendors may use information only to provide contracted services to us.
5. Choices and privacy rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about applicable disclosures through our Support Center. We verify requests before acting. If your information was entered by a business using Kordela, contact that business first; we will assist it with verified requests. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights and may appeal a denied request by replying to the decision.
6. Communications and consent
Businesses using Kordela are responsible for obtaining any consent required before sending marketing email or text messages, honoring opt-outs and do-not-contact requests, and following applicable telemarketing and communication laws. Service and account notices may still be sent when necessary to operate the service.
7. Retention
We retain account and business information while an account is active and as reasonably necessary for service delivery, security, dispute resolution, backups, and legal compliance. Support tickets and billing records may be kept after account closure when needed for these purposes. Verified deletion requests are completed subject to legal obligations, security needs, and limited backup retention.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated access and encrypted connections. No service can guarantee absolute security. Account owners must use appropriate access roles, protect sign-in credentials, review team access, and promptly report suspected unauthorized activity.
9. Children
Kordela is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit children's personal information unless it is necessary, lawful, and supported by appropriate permission.
10. International use
Information may be processed where Kordela and its providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the service or law changes. We will post the updated date and provide additional notice for material changes when required.
12. Contact
Submit privacy questions or rights requests through the Kordela Support Center and select “Privacy or data request.”
